Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a Data Management Consultant to join our global Data & Business Intelligence (DBI) department within Group Technology & Operations (GTO) focusing on data products and projects.

As a Data Management Consultant, your main tasks will involve:  
  • Deliver new business engagements that require data management capabilities and solutions
  • Specify generic data products and features, their value proposition and the approach to onboard business units
  • Establish knowledge base around data and information requirements, business terminology, data flows and data quality issues
  • Maintain relevant business glossaries and data classifications for data and business domains
  • Analyse master data processes and data models including creation, lifecycle changes and consumption
  • Analyse and classify data assets including profiles, pattern, quality, usage and risk
  • Evolve rules for data recognition and discovery algorithms
  • Evolve global taxonomies for global data classification and data access
  • Contribute to overall data management capability development, spanning various topics like data modelling, metadata management, data standardization and master & reference data management

Personality requirements and skills

As a Data Management Consultant, your skills and experience will ideally include:  
  • Bachelor level education, e.g. Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or other Engineering Discipline
  • 5+ years of experience with data management projects or role
  • Experience in broader data management topics (critical data elements, metadata management, master & reference data management and analytics use cases
  • Advanced proficiency in tools for data quality, metadata management, master data management and data analysis, like Informatica, Tibco, Collibra, IBM.
  • Understanding of data governance concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • High proficiency in English
  • Business and data analysis skills
