Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are a team of three looking for a colleague to help us bring the data & insights into new era of reporting. We have a great support from management, both personal and technical, to work on our ideas and vision. If you are ambitious, happy to talk to various stakeholders on a regular basis, willing to learn new things and have a sense of ownership, you’d fit right in. 

As a relatively new team, we have established several things over the past few years that we are proud of: 
  • Being Trusted Advisors: we have proven to be able to understand business needs and subsequently rapidly deliver solutions that materialize insights from the data to help our business with making decisions (in areas such as Customer & Distribution Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance).
  • Established Visibility: we have had a great traction from and directly support senior management members across the globe as well as Zurich’s HQ in Switzerland.

As a Data Solutions Delivery Specialist your main responsibilities will involve: 
  • Provide insight into the various data sources available to the Commercial Insurance and Corporate Life & Pensions Business Units, both globally and locally
  • Work with the Sales & Distribution, Actuarial and Underwriting teams to collect, organize and analyze data
  • Manipulate and link different data sets
  • Present results clearly using different visualization techniques, leveraging the existing Qlik Sense Platform
  • Maintain and proactively enhance the reporting application suite
  • Support the quality of master data in the core systems
  • Integrate relevant insights to the Zurich CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

As a Data Solutions Delivery Specialist, your skills and qualifications will ideally include: 
  • Data interpretation and manipulation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in data modelling / transformations and data dictionary maintenance
  • Experience in agile methodologies
  • Experience working in distributed, international teams
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance domain a benefit
  • Experience in Qlik Sense Suite (Scripts / Dashboards) a benefit
  • Experience in Power BI a benefit
