Senior Commodity Buyer

- Strategic Sourcing for the Global Commodity Machines and Equipment
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies and prepare monthly reports to track and show sourcing strategy and progress, including achievement of spend reduction targets
- Presentation of research, decisions and results to next level or executive management
- Management of supply base to include renewal of agreements and assisting suppliers in problem solving and tracking corrective actions
- Conducting supplier assessments for new strategic suppliers in the AP, USMCA, and EU regions
- Participate in supplier negotiations and prepare global purchase order contracts
- Work cross-functionally with business units, relevant purchasing functions and departments
- Execute all procurement processes from tender until award

- Bachelor’s degree in technical or economic fields, e.g. industrial engineer or comparable technical qualification with several years of professional experience
- Good understanding of purchasing methods and manufacturing processes, good analytical and negotiation skills, intercultural awareness
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English (German would be a plus)
- Proficiency in SAP R/3 and MS Office
