Job description, responsibilities and duties

The motivated "Quality Assistant" will support on tasks to maintain and improve the quality of internal processes and documentation. The" Quality Assistant " works closely with the "Quality Manager ISO 9001" (general process & documentation Management) and "Quality Manager IFS" (Food Safety Management), but cooperates as well the colleagues from purchasing, sales and product management.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Maintaining quality-related processes and documentation
• Quality inspection and taking reference samples of incoming goods
• Support in the creation of documents as Certificates of Analysis, purchasing or sales specifications
• Collaboration in processing complaints and quality-related customer inquiries
• Support in Communication with external, accredited laboratories
• Collaboration & support of the Quality Management Team in the creation supplier approvals, product approvals, preparation and support for audits, collaboration on quality-relevant topics in customer sampling, creation of quality-relevant documentation in relation to product and production, quality-relevant topics in the creation of labels, participation in the processing of customer questionnaires. Participation in the monitoring of products and raw materials by means of regular, risk-based random checks.

A good knowledge of the English language is necessary, additional knowledge of German language is an advantage but not a requirement!

For this position you should either have specific experience in the food industry (laboratory, product development, quality, regulatory affairs) or 1-2 years experience as quality assistant ISO 9001 (automotive, pharma, …)

Brief description of the company

VITACHEM is a medium sized (18 persons), fast growing, sales and production organization of high quality and healthy food ingredients.

Our customer base is spread across Europe. Especially in our home markets (Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria) we have achieved a dominant market position in some segments and are expanding on this basis in Europe.

After strategic investments in 2018/2019, we had been able to double our sales in 2020 and expect to grow our sales in 2021 by additional 50%.

In addition to Vitachem, our subsidiary Graf's Naturprodukte GmbH (, 18 employees) with two production facilities in Austria, focuses on the production of natural and organic foods and food ingredients based on vegetables such as garlic, Onion, paprika. Here, too, we are able to achieve above-average growth rates of 15-25% annually.
