Job description, responsibilities and duties

Role is involved and responsible for:

• Supporting execution of end to end solutioning and design when setting up mode strategies, implementation and mix mode combinations including routing guides adjustments, as well as warehousing footprint optimization and execution of strategy for region in EMEA
• Overseeing key carriers and 3rd party vendor performance management aligned to internal and external customer needs and requirements
• Execution of Process and operating model optimizations trhough freight spend analysis, audits, budgeting and forecasting
• Supporting EMEA co-ordination between MU, plants and LOB leaders in area of Warehousing and Transportation

Job description and duties are summarised as:

• Supervise Logistics administration processes ensuring systems are in place, data structure is defined and reliable
• Cooperate with Logistics Procurement and with other Supply chain functions (OPC, warehousing, shipping, trade compliance) to optimize the trade-off between customer satisfaction and logistics capital / operational expenses
• Cooperate with local in country MU teams supporting delivery of best in class transportation service across EMEA and designed to exceed customer expectations
• Cooperate with in plant Warehousing teams to ensure when executing against warehousing strategy
• Monitor performance and manage the warehouse and shipping logistics provider(s) ensuring contractual agreements are kept
• Ensure the appropriate logistic parameters and algorithms are utilized
• Create the conditions for a continuous improvement of Transportation network performance throughout EMEA
• Ensure logistics networks and warehousing organization productivity and efficiency improvements through constant review logistics KPIs
• Ensure the organization reacts properly in case of urgencies, escalations and exceptions
• Lead and develop Control tower function in EMEA
• Lead implementation for Key elements of Business management system
• Lead improvement projects for End-To-End Supply Chain Visibility
• Maintain and update guidelines related to Supply Chain field
• Monitor Supply Chain sections of budgets and track expenditure. Follow up as necessary including timely information and budgetary comments regarding any realignment.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

• Degree or professional certification in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field strongly preferred

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Office - advanced

Driving licence


Number of years of experience

5+ years of Logistics experience in a senior subject matter role or managing a large multi-site Supp

Personality requirements and skills

Technical / Functional skills
- Legit experience with Business analytics and ability to use and present on complex data and experience with performance management of carriers
- Successful completion of regional level optimizations and projects in warehousing optimizaiton and mode management
- On hand understanding and experience with using, integrating and dealing with advanced Transportation management systems

- Profile needed is Senior supply chain specialist with 5 - 7 years of experience from supply chain environment
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage people and coordinate projects of large scale across countries and regions
