Job description, responsibilities and duties

Newly created position. The first-class offer for an experienced human resources senior who likes to work independently and is mature enough to be a valuable partner for the company management. The job scope consists of the entire spectrum of HR activities, whether focused on recruiting, performance measurement, talent development, Comp&Ben, motivation, but also labour law advisory and the corresponding best practices implementation. Our client is a global leader in its business segment who would like to hire a mature HR professional who will be a respected advisor/partner, having outstanding knowledge of HR processes, a modern approach to people management, a team member who is ready to roll up its sleeves and operatively secure best in class HR as well as to develop the local HR strategy. An assistant (shared FTE) will support the HR Manager with administrative tasks.
The company has been in a change process that requires the HR Manager to be a bridge/mediator when it comes to handling daily company life and challenges which may arise from this change process. Personal maturity, professional conduct, the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across the company locally and on the group level, the capability to bring solutions and readiness to implement it operationally is a key.

Personality requirements and skills

• 8+ years of relevant HR experience as HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a mid-sized company that is part of an international group
• Our client is a leader in the industrial solutions and industrial components wholesale for many years therefore it would be desirable for the candidate to come from an industry-focused business segment and who wants to commit for a longer period of time.
• Firm knowledge of modern HR Management policies, Leadership & Talent Development, Labor Relations & Labor Law, Recruitment, Employer Branding, Change Management
• Excellent business partnering skills, in particular very good communicator on all levels (“street credibility” for all employees up to GM and Area HR Manager), counseling and presentation skills, convincing appearance
• Enthusiastic, positive, ready to go the extra mile, can-do attitude
• Good negotiations capability, drive and ambition to work on eye level with local GM, group HR and other stakeholders
• Team player, who sees him/herself as the GM sparring partner and an integral part of the ongoing change management process
• Educational background with university graduation in either human resource management, business admin, economics, management, legal, psychology or similar
• Very good command of English language skills, native Slovak
