Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role

-Support the team in setting up the IT infrastructure and preparing data in order to fulfil the regulatory requirement on Solvency II reporting
-Be available for our finance business partners to help them with issues during the quarterly and annual finance closing cycles
-Support major Finance IT projects / programs as a knowledge holder for Solvency II
-Support the implementation of change requests starting with collecting requirements, writing concepts, support implementation, testing, roll out and finally productive support
-You will be part of a team with friendly atmosphere and down to earth attitude

What team will you join

Currently we are a group of 7 people in their 20s and 30s, who can switch between "full professional work mode" and friendly discussions about diverse life topics. We have a friendly atmosphere where we like to help each other and celebrate successes. If the situation allows it, we enjoy having regular get togethers (barbecue, sports, drinks…). Since one of our colleagues is getting ready for a new project (a baby), we are trying to find a replacement. We would like you to be a motivated person with can do attitude, who wants to take an active role in supporting our team, grow as IT Business Analyst and have some fun with us along the way. What will you learn

Our team is an interface between finance and IT so there is plenty of opportunities to get better in both areas.
-You will have a chance to understand how insurance / reinsurance business works
-Since we are in regular touch with our customers, you will work on your communication skills and abilities to simplify complex topics.
-We are involved in major projects so you can gain first experience or sharpen your projects skills

Personality requirements and skills

About you

-Bachelor or master's degree in IT, Financial or Business field
-Willingness to further deep dive into numbers in order to understand them
-IT/ Technical affinity
-Good communication skills, good team mate
-Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with business counterparts
-Experience in writing and running SQL and experienced Excel know-how is a plus
-First business analyst experience or experience in financial services industry is an advantage
