Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role

In this role you will support a unit responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of our Reinsurance Financial Data Store for Life & Health, which acts as an integration layer and connects the reinsurance contract management systems, technical accounting systems with the accounts payables/receivables modules, the general ledger and the closing and actuarial engines. You are willing to grow into an important role in the business analysis team.

The position holder is accountable for supporting and contributing to IT solutions which meet the strategic, financial and operational needs of Swiss Re stakeholders and to support business partners. You will be involved in all steps of the project. Similarly, you will be involved in the entire application lifecycle after the project including the change management, support and maintenance of the delivered solutions.

In your role, you will…
-Help gather, document and clarify business requirements
-Participate in creating and refining technical specification documents
-Work closely with programmers in the realization phase and ensure correct understanding and implementation of business requirements
-Develop a working understanding of the business applications and the functional processes they support
-Work on sub-projects and change requests together with a project lead or expert business analyst
-Prepare test cases, carry out IT testing and participate in UAT
-Contribution to the respective change management process
-High level of maintenance and support
-Guarantee a high application availability
