The Swiss Re Institute (SRI) creates competitive advantage in risk knowledge and capital allocation. We use our R&D to ensure our capabilities remain cutting edge, maintain our underwriting excellence and incubate new business models, product, and services. We create and deliver transformational R&D to generate data-driven insights on existing and new risk pools, and the economic context within which we operate.
The SRI Data Governance (SRI DG) team are responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the Data Governance Framework across the SRI organization unit. We ensure adherence to Swiss Re's Data Standards, define, and monitor Data Quality Indicators (DQI's), & consistently enhance data governance processes, thus improving data quality. We are looking for a highly motivated person and a subject matter expert in data management, architecture, quality & governance to join our team.
In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operational and governance management for the SRI data governance team. Analyze complex data challenges, identify opportunities and partner with other data stakeholders to drive execution, governance, and communication.
Key responsibilities
• Primary responsibility is to collaborate with SRI cross-functional teams to maintain the SRI data catalogue (data asset identification and curation support) of SRI data assets
• Support SRI Head of Data Governance on various priorities, topics, and initiatives
• Work effectively with internal data governance stakeholders on Swiss Re wide data governance issues
• Adhere to Swiss Re governance standards and process implementation
• Support with defining data quality indicators, and implement processes to prioritize and resolve data quality issues
• Raise data governance risk issues and events as they occur
• Support with data governance related projects focusing on constant improvement of data quality and efficiency
• Be an ambassador for data governance throughout SRI
• Support preparation of training material for educating data stakeholders
