Swiss Re Corporate Solutions provides risk transfer solutions to large and mid-sized corporations around the world. We provide innovative, highly customised products and standard insurance covers help to make businesses more resilient. We serve clients from over 50 offices worldwide and are backed by the financial strength of the Swiss Re Group. International Business is a major strategic growth lever for us in the coming years, with a strong focus on technology enabled expansion and growth.

To advance the development of an open industry platform for the placement and administration of International Programs, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions established an incubator to develop and bring to market tech solutions for brokers and carriers. This incubator is now growing and maturing its offerings to Carriers and Brokers, leveraging a state-of-the-art SaaS application (PULSE), including fronting network access and risk pooling where necessary, aiming to reduce the barriers to entry to the International Program market.

The Platform Propositions team is looking for someone to bring focus to our customer management, developing robust approaches to the interactions with customers and ensure relationships are maintained across our customer base.

About the Role

As the Customer Success Manager, you will be fundamental to the success of the Propositions by ensuring that strong relationships are maintained with our customers. You will support the development of our go-to market and sales strategy. For the growing number of customers of our products you will be a key point of contact, representing our service delivery to them and their clients. You will be (co-)leading sales discussions with new potential customers.


This role offers the opportunity to leverage your International Program experience in a new and exciting way, to bring something different to the market and support us in our mission to reduce the inherent friction in the delivery of International Programs.


Essential Responsibilities

Account Management
• Understand customer needs and find effective solutions, making sure that the proposition is working for the customer
• Support the relationship with the customer by facilitating regular two-way information flow
• Represent the propositions and be the face of the propositions in internal and external presentations and discussions

Customer Perspective
• Ensure pipeline records are maintained and kept current
• Build and implement framework for the capture of customer interactions, linking records with other contacts across Swiss Re
• Ensure performance statistics are shared with and understood by our customers
• Build processes to support our customer relationships through all steps of the customer lifecycle

Proposition Sales
• (Co-)lead delegations in sales efforts for the solutions

Proposition Enhancement
• Opportunity Analysis – understand the landscape and how the proposition can be enhanced considering internal and external factors
• Manage and support the offering of additional services to the customer such as training, project support, etc.

Personality requirements and skills

About you

• Knowledge of the administration of International Insurance Programs and Commercial Insurance Contracts or Knowledge of the operation of SaaS platforms in a fin-tech environment
• Extensive Commercial Insurance / Reinsurance experience. Strong connection and network in the global insurance industry is a plus
• Proven track record in sales or account management related activities, ideally within commercial insurance or for technology driven propositions: you have deep understanding and experience of relationship management and translating customer needs to opportunities
• Good understanding of and strong interest in the role of technology as a change driver in commercial insurance
• Strong project management skills - ability to plan, organize, and execute
• Exact and detail oriented working style: you are forward-thinking, intellectually curious and results oriented. Being solutions driven, you are someone who quickly conceives realistic and practical ways to convert business opportunities into successful execution
• Goal-orientation and commitment to continuous learning
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently and deliver at high-quality under pressure
• Ability to simplify the complicated and connect and communicate with multiple parties
• Fluent in English, German would be beneficial, other languages are an asset
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Used to work in an international environment and willing to be part of a distributed team.
