Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our MS Data Services Team of Swiss Re is looking for an enthusiastic DevSecOps who is ready for an exciting career with us.
We do Infrastructure as Code and AI Ops. Our focus is on self-service multi cloud & self-healing infrastructure, but we also enjoy data engineering. We are a highly skilled team in Bratislava that solves infrastructure and data pipeline problems form around the globe.

For example, you will:
Build infrastructure and data pipelines that allow Swiss Re units to:
• help improve the life of farmers in Brazil with image recognition based on satellite data.
• build models to predict life expectancy or predict the CO2 footprint of companies.
• support many other exciting projects in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.
You will work in a team building new cutting-edge solutions cloud infrastructure solutions, with 5 mentors to support your learning.

Personality requirements and skills

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If, however, you meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of multi cloud and data pipelines, we will be happy to meet you.
To be successful in the role, you need to have these technical skills and knowledge:

• Aware how to interact with API and CLI interfaces
• Experience with Microsoft SQL databases
• Had exposure to or want to learn of programming languages Golang and Python
If you have any of the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus but not required:
• Deploying code with CI/CD pipelines
• Background in software engineering or database design
• Practical hands-on writing docker files
• Know-how of data transformation, data cleansing or data wrangling
• Experience of or curiosity about micro service architecture
• Savvy with or interested about machine learning, statistical modelling, etc.
