  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: From 3 200 EUR/monthThe minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 3200 EUR full time. Job description, responsibilities and duties

Within the Corporate Solutions Data Insights Organization, we are looking for the lead of the Data Science Centre of Excellence (CoE). The key responsibilities for this position are as follows.

- Act as inspiring data science Chapter Lead, leading the design and execution of projects, including involvement in group-wide staffing
- Act as mentor and coach; advances the product area in formal and informal ways
- Establish CorSo's data science roadmap and execute upon it
- Function as technical guide in programming, machine learning and analytic techniques
- Build up and maintain data science best practices, standards and appropriate model governance. Inspiring others to raise minimum standards to a new level
- Maintain a strong internal and external network

Based on experience and interest, this role has significant evolution potential to drive the future of analytics capabilities and achieve our ambition to be data driven.


Corporate Solutions Data Insights is the agile Product Area bundling our data and analytics efforts, creating data-based insights to improve decision making in all functions in CorSo. We are organized in chapters to ensure cohesion across the various squads. A recent key achievement of the team has been the establishment of CorSo's single version of data truth, the Analytical Data Model. This will be the basis for creating reusable insights driving future growth, profitability and efficiencies across the company.

Requirements for the employee

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Strong experience in predictive and descriptive analytics in Python, R, or other high-level languages
- Expert at developing leading-edge Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions, including entity extraction and AI-powered search
- Experience with the application of data science and machine learning algorithms
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in a relevant quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or other
- Strong work ethic and self-starter who can deliver results quickly
- Good communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts
- Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred but not required
