  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: From 1 500 EUR/monthMinimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. We are required by law to disclose basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised positions. We carefully consider your professional competencies, qualifications and experience in our compensation package and/or when offering you other positions. Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role:

You will be in charge of providing corporate secretariat, corporate governance and legal support for legal entities located across Europe, primarily in Luxembourg, the UK and Slovakia. The business these companies cover is direct insurance business which is written through a network of branches reaching from Australia, Singapore, Japan, China all the way to Europe and Africa.

You will:

- draft English-language corporate documents for board and committee meetings, e.g. -agenda, minutes, organize these meetings, follow up on action items resulting from the meetings.
- draft written (circular) resolutions and arrange their approval by relevant corporate body of an entity.
- support on legal and corporate secretariat formalities relating to the approval of annual accounts and changes in the board and management composition, incl. collection of internal approvals, preparation of regulatory filings.
- employ your legal analysis and writing skills and support on transactional work notably in the area of insurance and technology
- complete corporate governance certification and/or board self-assessment processes and review various legal documents (incl. internal policy documents).
- be responsible for the administration of company records and general records management.
- answer to requests for corporate documents from internal clients, auditors or regulators.
- develop templates and standard procedures for corporate secretariat.
- assist legal counsel with monitoring of corporate governance and company secretariat developments in EMEA in coordination with outside counsel.
- travel within Europe to attend board and committee meetings and provide support on site (when permissible again).

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

We are looking for you if you:

- display a "can do" attitude, are dedicated and put the client first.
- minimum of 3 years professional work experience in an in-house law department or in a law firm; prior knowledge of (re-)insurance or financial industry is a plus.
- experience with minute-taking is an advantage.
- enjoy working independently and handling multiple requests and deadlines.
- speak and write English and Slovak fluently (French/German language is an advantage).
- feel comfortable working in a changing environment and dealing with ambiguity.
- committed to providing high-quality end products, also in short time frames.
- communicate and listen well to senior leadership, internal clients and colleagues.
- display a high degree of integrity, be discreet and diligent when handling confidential information.
- proficient in MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.
- enthusiastic and eager to learn.
