Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the Team

Our team "Actuarial Systems P&C" consists of business analysts and application engineers and we are responsible for in-house built applications related to reserving and actuarial analysis. Our main customer is the global actuarial community within the company. We are embedded in the Finance IT subledger ecosystem.

We are looking for an agile, pro-active and curious IT Business Analyst who wants to take an important role in supporting our team.

We are based in Bratislava.

About the Role

In your role you will have the opportunity to work on global projects as well as support production processes. The project work will focus on the data integration, design and development of new interfaces and functions, as well as the support and monitoring of data migrations and reconciliations. On the production side the main tasks will be to support the quarterly closing with special processes and to secure the daily data processing. You will be involved in all steps of a project and the production control and will be assigned own sub-projects which you will manage independently in close collaboration with project team.

You will:

- Understand and operate the existing quarterly claims development processes - data preparation, transformation and currency conversion between sub-ledger and Group Finance
- Connect with an international user community
- Provide ad-hoc analysis (incl. data mining)
- Support us implementing those features in our new actuarial reserving platform - a fully Azure cloud borne solution

Information about the selection process

The position is hired for 8months external contract with possibility of extension.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree (or similar) in Business Administration or Economics with good mathematical understanding, or Mathematics or Natural Sciences with good business understanding, Alternatively higher professional education (information management or similar)
- Knowledge in basic accounting principles,
- Experience in insurance/reinsurance, actuarial or IT project work is an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- English is a must
- Knowledge in MS Office, Excel above all, basic knowledge in Azure data tools like DataBricks or SQL Server will help you implementing the new solution
- SQL and Python are an advantage
