Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role & team

Our Asset Management COO Strategic Solutions team is responsible for running strategic projects that are priorities of the COO and CIO of Swiss Re Asset Management. The projects span from infrastructure improvements to process change, as well as the adaptation of control frameworks for the Asset Management business of the company.

We identify, lead, and support multi-functional, end-to-end strategic business projects within the financial services area and include Project Managers supporting the analysis of existing processes, lead strategic change and facilitate a balanced business transformation. They actively contribute to the management and delivery of change projects by participating in discussions with senior partners to gather business input, steer the implementation and ensure consensus from all of them.

We are ambassadors of smart agile working facilitating cross- functional thinking and collaboration across AM teams, including identifying and driving the alignments of bringing technology and business together.

We have a clear mandate to find opportunities for process improvements, where we would also work with technology teams and become proficient in intelligent automation including Robotic Process Automation, K2 workflow, Power Automate and Power Apps.

Your responsibilities:

Would you like to be a part of our team in Bratislava where you would support Asset Management projects and change initiatives to meet customer requirements and key business objectives?

This will be achieved by:

-Identify areas of potential improvement by proactively working with partners to fully understand business issues and establish working solutions.

-Build workflow automations, data anayltics & reporting solutions on process improvements identified using a consultative approach with business users

-Provide expert knowledge / consultancy to other projects (e.g. system or process impact of project implementation)

-Report to senior management on project status and progress

-Be prepared to advise on ad hoc queries from management or other projects

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Essentials:

-Development experience with workflow automation for example K2, PowerApps, Azure Logic Apps, etc

-Experience with business improvement (Lean, Agile, TQM, etc.) or other change methodologies

-Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

-Proficient English, and we consider as your advantage, if you speak any other European language

Nice to Have:

-University degree (Master or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another related degree

-Development experience with data analytics & reporting (PowerBi or similar) is a plus

-Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point and Access

-Ability to translate business improvement ideas into tangible requirements, together with domain specialists and partners

-Proactive, and able to work independently, within a multinational team

-Enjoy building relationships with multiple and multi-functional partner groups, bringing these together to enable efficient change

-Enjoy discovering new technologies or industry business developments and identifying any opportunities these could yield

-Ability to focus on details without losing track of the big picture
