Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you will work as a key entry point for HR Partners and to the Business for all Reward topics. You will act as a center of competence and provide guidance and recommendations on all aspects of Reward, serving for the Business Functions Reinsurance and Life Capital.

Your main responsibilities include:
•Provide advisory and analytical support on all aspects of Reward, primarily working with HR Partners and HR Advisors and Business representatives
•Provide extensive support within Reward team and to HR Partners during the Annual Compensation Review process
•Support participation in salary surveys, benchmarking activities and compensation ranges development and maintenance
•Support HR Partners on Reward projects, as well as client specific key Reward initiatives
•Support execution of the Reward related Group Standards and the Group Reward Strategy as well as any other Human Resources initiatives from a One-HR perspective
•Support alignment with the client strategy, market practices and regulatory requirements
•Ensure compliance with the Swiss Re Group governance framework and Compensation Standard

You will also hae the opportunuity to get involved in other areas of the Reward team, including (but not limited to) helping drive a sustainable, professional and structured communications programme within and from Reward, and foster a cross-functional team ethic amongst the Reward department and across the Human Resources Department.

About the Team
The Reward department consists of around 40 employees, covering all Swiss Re regions and acting as a truly global team. Reward has a critical role to play in attracting, retaining and developing the talent that the Group need to succeed. Through the design, implementation and effective management of competitive, compliant and transparent Reward plans, Reward strive for full alignment with both the People Strategy and the Group Reward Strategy. The Reward Consulting Specialist provides consulting services and specialist advice to a range of different stakeholders on Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility issues.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

•Around 3+ years demonstrated and successful experience in various subject areas of Total Reward (Compensation, Benefits or International Mobility Management or in the broader HR environment), ideally in an international business environment
•Strong client centricity and high level of quality in own work
•Effective Team Player
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to translate technical concepts into "plain" language
•Ability to manage relationships inside and outside of HR, and to work closely together within the HR community
•Ability to handle multiple tasks and reprioritise effectively, and to work in an unstructured environment
•Proactive and "make it happen" attitude
•Understanding of critical elements of successful Reward programs
•Good analytical skills and creative solution orientated mindset
•Proficient knowledge of MS office skills and data analysis
•Fluent in English, any other language (especially German) an advantage
•Higher degree / education
