The Release Train Engineer is a servant leader, coach, and mentor within the Agile Release train. They have an in depth understanding of how to scale lean and agile practices while understanding the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning large development programs.

What will be your task at this position?

•Manage, track, and report on the progress for Agile Release Trains
•Independently determine and develop approaches and solutions
•Facilitate the coordinated preparation of release planning for the release train
•Manage changes to the quarterly plan and the impacts of those changes
•Backlog management as well as reporting (including the collection of metrics and KPIs)
•Coordinate major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers where multiple teams, release trains and/or solution groups are involved
•Resolve/report issues and managing dependencies and risks across the ART and between ARTs
•Drive continuous improvement through the facilitation of retrospectives
•Actively participate in the RTE Community of Practice to help the organization maintain alignment, learn new techniques and improve technical and quality practices
•Active Coaching of leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
•Establish and communicate annual calendar for Iterations, Program Increments (PIs) and PI planning events
•Drive relentless improvement with the ART; assess the agility level of the ART and help facilitate improvement
•Improve flow of value through value streams using a Continuous Delivery Pipeline
•Management experience is not required, but is preferred

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

•B.A. degree or higher (or 4+ years as a Senior Scrum Master and at least 2 year in Scaled Agile
•Superior written and oral communications skills – we’re very serious about this one
•Ability to immerse oneself in an industrial software market, and quickly add value to a project
•Focus on providing the support needed by scrum masters, teams, ARTs to be self-organizing and self-managing
•Ability to navigate through ambiguity, set direction, and positively influence those not under direct line of management
•Expertise in System Thinking taking a Holistic approach to developing solutions, an integrating all aspects of the system into design, development, deployment and maintenance of the system itself

Preferred Qualifications:

•PMP certification
•Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
•Working knowledge of SAFe, and Azure DevOps, SharePoint and O365 tools
•Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Change Management Certification
•Knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable
