About Simplicity
We want to revolutionize the way how cities and municipalities interact with their citizens.
We cover more than 140 cities at the moment but we are growing rapidly (our potential users are all citizens around the globe).
Join us in these early startup stages, become part of the core team as a Finance Operations Specialist, and help us build a world-class product!

About your role
You would be doing your magic in Accounting & Tax compliance, mainly:
☀️ approving and processing vendor invoices
☀️ issuing customer invoices and
☀️ helping us with travel and reimbursement

I think you've guessed it already, but Treasury would be also part of your role, mainly:
☀️tracking bank movement, processing card payments, and petty cash

What can you expect?
You will be:
☀️ our crucial contact person to external auditors, 3rd party vendors (accounting, tax, bank, etc.), and also internal clients (colleagues, management), coordinating inquiries and fixing findings
☀️ helping us with monthly closing and reporting activities
☀️ the smoother of the day-to-day finance-related operations (as you can expect from the name of the position)
☀️ helping us find new ways how we can improve our processes

Who we are looking for
☀️ 1+ years of experience in financially related tasks (planning, controlling, reporting, audit, and similar). Better generalist than narrowly specialized
☀️ preferred degree in Finance, Audit, Economics, Business, Math, Management, the University with Finance & Economics primary focus not necessary, but exposed to extensive finance-related subjects is a must)
☀️ fluent in English
☀️ expert computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) / Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
☀️ good execution skills to make things happen, project mgmt. skills – leading and delivering end to end (ownership)
☀️ strong in analysis and problem solving, but also able to interpret and explain things in a simple way

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)
