Siemens Mobility in Slovakia is a fast growing company employing more than 700 employees, operating in Bratislava and Žilina in Engineering, IT, Automation, Sales and Service projects.
Your role will be:
• Your way leads you into the central global purchasing department of our business unit for railway infrastructure.

• You will work as global commodity manager for mechanical components
• You will independently negotiate and conclude contracts for complex projects with suppliers in global business divisions
• You will identify, qualify, and develop top performing suppliers on a global scale, build a portfolio for preferred suppliers and optimize their performance continuously
• You will lead and manage an interdisciplinary task force under consideration of regional divisions
• As a go to person you will be responsible for clarification and escalation cases and will maintain an active risk management
• You will initiate, develop, and implement cost reduction solutions with our internal techn. crossfunctions

Personality requirements and skills

• You hold a university degree (master's degree / diploma) in a commercial or engineering discipline
• You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement
• You understand technical contexts well and your business actions are structured and solution-oriented
• You have strong communication skills and you are fluent in English and German
• You gained user knowledge of MS Office and SAP R3
• You have a wide-ranged practical experience in negotiation management
• Analytical thinking combined with conceptual and methodical abilities
