Process Automation, part of Schneider Electric, is a global technology leader in process automation and software solutions offering safety, critical and distributed control systems, measurement & instrumentation products, visualization and simulation software solutions. OBJECTIVES:

The purpose of the role is to undertake all actions that could not be addressed by other interaction modes (phone, chat, email) and more generally to perform IT support actions that require a local presence on site. In charge of handling customer support requests, providing first line support and routing the call to higher support levels if necessary.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain and support the standard GIS IT environment based on policies and procedures developed by GIS regional teams or Global GIS. The GIS environment encompasses:
o Client stations: desktops and laptops
o Standard applications: Microsoft Office suite, VPN client software and other GIS standard applications.
o LAN and WAN (up to router) infrastructure
o File Servers and Application Servers
o Cyber threats and prevention methods.
- Support and maintenance is provided in the designated site(s) as the first charter, but not limited to it.
- Support and maintain the development in new technology as defined by SE Digital.
- Adherence to the procedures and policies as are/will be defined in the SE Digital
- Support other SE Digital team members as required.
- Support project teams with roll out of new technology or upgrading of existing.
- Provide the requested support on basis of SLA’s.
- Communicate the SE Digital regional teams and Global policies to the users and visitors in a professional manner.
- Ensure that call logging and tracking is performed according the SE Digital procedures.
- Ensure that escalated problems are handled in a professional manner including reporting to Service Coordinators and Service Delivery Managers.
- Identify requirements for IT infrastructure and equipment improvements.
- IT equipment and accessories storage management.
- IT equipment specification and purchasing support.
- Local IT assets management and maintenance (including software, licences, PCs, servers, server room and others).
- Design, implement and maintain various IT projects.
- Any other task requested by manager related to the job scope.

Personality requirements and skills

Essential Competencies:
- University Degree or Technical high school diploma in information technologies;
- Good knowledge and confirmed experience with Microsoft Office (2016) applications and Microsoft Operating Systems (Win 10).
- Confirmed experience in supporting users in international environment;
- Previous experience in networking, including the configuration of routers, firewalls and switches;
- Good knowledge and experience with the administration of Windows and Linux servers and basic knowledge of server peripherals (e.g. tape units, disk storage, etc.);
- Knowledge of enterprise backup software (e.g. BackupExec) and general knowledge about computer security and Anti-Virus software (preferably McAfee, Sentinel);
- Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize work and to work under the pressure;
- Valid driving license (Category B); and
- Very good level of written and spoken English.

Desirable Competencies:
- Knowledge about Dell, HP and Lenovo hardware platforms.
- MCP Certification.
- Experience with MS SCCM, VMWARE, Hyper-V
