Job description, responsibilities and duties

Be part of Customer Projects Operations and experience 50 years in Project and Engineering. Our mission is to master and support grow of large, complex and international projects business for global accounts and targeted customers through the Global and Regional Application Centers, supporting in parallel project ambitions for Local Execution Centers in Europe in tendering and projects executions.
Our team, which is a part of Schneider Electric community in Slovakia, has currently 90-110 Employees.

With a permanent position working for Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) Bratislava, Electrical Customer Project Technical Engineer (Design Leader) will collaborate mainly with Schneider Electric France team to carry out and/or follow up technical studies and to coordinate with project logistic leaders under the functional authority of a Project Manager (PM) with all main exchanges done in French language. Further he will:
- Participate in end-to-end process of an assigned industrial project from technical point of view;
- Act as the leader of the technical content of the assigned workpackages, and functionally reports to Technical leader (TL) and/or Project Manager (PM)
- Make sure customer technical requirements are fulfilled (in terms of performance, quality, costs and time), in compliance with the contract, and based on the Architecture & Technical specifications defined during the tendering phase
- Follow all technical aspects of customer integrated projects, such as: design, implementation, testing, FAT, IFAT, and provide advises for installation/commissioning on site

He is a part of a customer project execution/application center and project technical teams located spread among one or several sites/countries, requiring international collaboration with other functional teams/stakeholders.

Place of Work: sites and the following locations:
Slovakia: our offices in Bratislava, Žilina and Košice
Work from home
Other countries: work from home with occasional travel to Bratislava office.

Key Activities:

Design & Implementation:
- Specify the technical solution in accordance with the client's needs in conformity with main contract
- Validate the technical choices for the final solution accordingly with French NF standards and regulations and IEC standards
- Coordinate with site technical teams (internal or external) to ensure main interface between the factories and the customer to secure installation of SE equipment on site
- Carry out studies for the projects in charge (with potential participation in the costing of these studies)

Coordination with the Project Team:
- Lead & approve basic and detailed design of the assigned workpackages, in line with customer and contract requirements (technical performance)
- Coordinate all technical implementation activities done at factories or supplier premises and testing facilities until project closure, related to the assigned workpackages
- Actively participate in FAT preparation and participate if needed.
- Identify clearly the input/output/interface of the assigned workpackages with the rest of the project technical scope
- Make sure the assigned workpackages is delivered according to the project planning & budget
- Provide progress reports and technical deliverables to Technical Senior Engineer or Project Manager

Risk & Opportunity management, Change management, Alert:
- Identify any potential changes versus contract or already agreed design, regarding the assigned workpackages
- Work closely with the project team to specify the changes and their impact for Schneider Electric (including cost impact evaluation)
- Alert Project Manager or Technical leader of any substantial issue that could affect the project performance or customer satisfaction, related to the assigned workpackages

Quality process, Methods, Tools:
- Ensure full compliance with Schneider-Electric quality processes with quality instructions, safety requirements and governance principles
- Correct any technical deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution, related to the assigned workpackages
- Implement international ISO 9001, ISO 18000 HSE and ISO 14000 quality and environmental Standards
- Respect and follow SE Safety Standard during all Project Execution

Community of practices & Coaching:
- Maintain technical theoretical and applied knowledge; identify, get, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices related to the assigned workpackages
- Stay tuned on the last technical evolutions of equipment & systems, including new launches (in her/his field of engineering, acting then as a referent in the Community)
- Participate actively in the capitalization and sharing of experience, contribute to engineering innovation and productivity

Personality requirements and skills

Education & experience
- University degree in Electrical engineering (Bachelor as minimum, preferably Master)
- 3 years of experience in Electrical distribution
- Proven successful experiences as electrical designer, Knowledge of Schneider electric portfolio, knowledge about IEC and NF standards
- Experience or literacy with any of Schneider Equipment for MV / LV and Protection Relays is an advantage

- Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus, Team player, Goal Keeper
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal) in clear manner on technical issues/topics
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
- Ability to work and cooperate in international and inter-cultural environment
- Software tools literacy: MS Office, AutoCAD

Language skills:
- English language fluent mandatory (min B2 level)
- Other languages as French and/or Spanish and/or German and/or Russian are a plus but not mandatory.

Location and travel requiremens:
- Willingness to travel up to 30% in EMEAS Region
- Driving License B
