Job description, responsibilities and duties

As part of the Schneider Electric Slovakia team, Design Leader will collaborate with Schneider Electric France team remotely to carry out and/or follow up technical studies and to coordinate with project logistic leaders under the functional authority of a Project Manager.
Main targeted missions are:
- Specify the technical solution in accordance with the client's needs in conformity with main contract
- Validate the technical choices for the final solution accordingly with French NF and IEC standards
- Coordinate with site technical teams (internal or external) to ensure main interface between the factories and the customer to secure installation of SE equipment on site


Individual responsibilities:

* Carry out studies for the projects in charge (with potential participation in the costing of these studies)
* Management of technical aspects of the project: ensure the technical solution is in accordance with customer needs, define the technical specification and prepare the associated deliverables (detailed architecture, detailed technical description, etc.), propose technical optimization of solutions (including search for amendments, margin improvement, etc.) and ensure the approval of design documents by the client. Participate if necessary, in factories and/or site tests.
* Schedule follow up: actively participate in its development and its evolution according to the availability of resources (site resources for works on site and experts for specific studies) and also equipment, monitor and redirect the progress of the studies if necessary
* Interface between the customer and the factory: ensure that the factory has understood the client's expectations, transfer the technical specifications of the project to the concerned factories, organize the document flows between the client and the SE entities, check and validate the diagrams / plans of the factories, prepare in collaboration with the PM the factory orders. Prepare the final documentation for end of project (DOE) for the client.
* Risk management: contribute to the risk analysis and inform the project team of a new risk detection, avoid or minimize all technical risks by proposing appropriate solutions
* Prevention and safety: pilot the implementation of the prevention plan or the PPE (Personal protection equipment) on site, ensure compliance with safety rules, monitor the return of safety documents in the project documentation for site teams remotely.


Collective and/or shared responsibilities:

* Collect and archive Lesson learned from projects (quality, performance, functionalities) in terms of development of tenders (products, services and applications)
* Compliance with QUALITY Standards (ISO 9001) and SAFETY procedures, comply with Schneider Electric rules (CPP, project execution, RACI) and customer procedures (site access, operating mode, specific safety instructions, etc.)
* Ensure compliance with HSE rules for himself and within the framework of its projects, and guarantee and promote our "Safety" know-how to customers


Scope and environment:
* Work with Project team (PM, Design Engineer, Logistics, ...)
* Functional animation of site teams, factory correspondents, or subcontractors
* Regular business trips (mostly in France and european Schneider Electric factories)

- Achievement of the individual score rate on quotation and on business
- Contribution to achieving the rate of hours produced on business in the region

Personality requirements and skills

Education & experience
- Initial technical education (electrical engineering / ideally substations)
- Proven successful experiences as electrical designer, Knowledge of Schneider electric portfolio, knowledge about IEC and NF standards

Skills
- Good customer relation management & team spirit
- Competences in project management
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
- Knowledge of CAD tools (Autocad)
- Fluency in French (minimum C1) is mandatory
- Fluency in English (Minimum B2) is a plus
