Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our IAM (Identity and Access Management) team is positioned in the Merck central Technology Office and distributed across multiple countries. The team consists of Developers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners and Project Managers.

We are developing internal solutions based on agile principles. You will support the team and build/maintain Infrastructure Components in our Cloud solution for internally developed applications. You will join a team that runs Microservices and Open-Source Applications for core IAM solutions in containerized solutions. Our team owns the overall End-2-End responsible for all IAM services – from the cloud infrastructure to the application level.

Personality requirements and skills

Base requirements:
- English language is a must
- General understanding on IT infrastructure based on Cloud Services
- Solid technical background
- Strong knowledge in DevOps technology stack
- Deep knowledge in container solutions and general container technology (e. g. Docker, HELM, Kubernetes)
- Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for Software development / code commitment
- Practical knowledge in automating, developing, configuring, deploying instances and building serverless architecture (preferable on AWS)
- Good understanding on Cloud solutions based on AWS (Amazon Web Services) including EKS, VPC., IAM (IRSA, Roles Anywhere), CloudWatch, S3, Typescript (CDK8s)
- Additional experience in other technologies such as Terraform (CDKTF), Elastic and Grafana

Optional additional skills:
- German language is a plus
- Additional Technical skills such as OPA, Kafka, Spiffe Spire are a plus
