Job description, responsibilities and duties

Position Overview

This role is responsible for day to day review and processing of purchase orders, invoices, related payments and corporate credit cards management. The ideal candidate for this position is a customer service focused, detail oriented individual who is a team player and likes working with people. The Accounts Payable Operation Analyst will gain exposure to the global, technical and operational payable activity and will assist in projects with the objective to deliver efficiency improvements through automation and streamlining of AP processes.
To succeed in the role, it is essential that you are organized, thorough, and able to work efficiently under pressure. You have a team-oriented attitude and a pragmatic and professional nature. You are open to change and able to adjust to new situations and navigate in complex environments.

The position reports to the Head of Accounting and Control and will work together with the finance team in Piano’s locations.


- Support the company in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
- Lead the procure-to-pay cycle, internal and external point of contact on AP matters in close collaboration with the outsourced finance team
- Vendor set up and management
- Review purchase orders, generate purchase orders as necessary
- Ensure processed invoices are compliant and allocated to the accurate department, location and purchase order
- Manage weekly AP Aging schedules to ensure timely payments
- Manage corporate credit card purchases, reports and reimbursement
- Responsible for AP month-end accruals
- Serve as liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries
- Document AP related processes and procedures and maintain training materials
- Suggest and implement process improvements

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
-Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices, bookkeeping procedures
-Experience with banking, cash management, wires, and expense management
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work collaboratively in fast paced dynamic environment
-Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks
-Fluent in written and oral English
-MS Office experience required, intermediate excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables)
-Understanding of/interest in IT systems and digital solutions
