Job description, responsibilities and duties

Philip Morris International Inc. (PMI) is seeking curious, fast learners and ambitious professionals to develop a challenging and rewarding career in a multinational environment.

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia


• Promote policies that accelerate conversion of adult smokers to better alternatives then smoking (smoke-free products)
• Develop strategies and plans to increase the knowledge and understanding of PMI’s scientific approach and results among relevant stakeholders
• Create an optimal environment for smoke-free products commercialization by building understanding of the PMI’s scientific approach and its results
• Engage with regulators, legislators, validators, scientific bodies, opinion leaders and other key stakeholders
• Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of smoke-free products strategies at market and also international level
• Manage the process of meeting regulatory requirements mandatory for smoke-free products
• Provide on-going support to the commercialization of smoke-free products

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills


• Education – University degree (Science, Medicine, Pharmacy)
• At least 5 years of experience in the senior position in government health agencies, medical or research institutes, pharma company , health committee or a pharma section at a business association
• English on communicative level (B2) and native Slovak/Czech (C2)
• Prior experience dealing with complex regulatory issues relating to product
• Knowledge of the local/EU legislative process
• Familiarity with scientific network, public health officials
• Ability to prepare a structured analysis of a complex situation and to propose a comprehensive outreach strategy
