  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: 4 500 - 5 500 EUR/month+ motivating annual bonus

Job description, responsibilities and duties

PERSONALITY has the opportunity to cooperate on the hiring a very important job role for our Retail client, operating worldwide. The future leader will develop and lead a successful regional team of senior buyers. We’re exclusively hiring the job position:

• Inspire, lead and direct the regional buying team, who are responsible for choosing and purchasing lines of products in Europe
• Responsibility for negotiation, strategic buying, suppliers and product listing validation
• Driving the team to achieve category KPIs and improve categories for customers
• Plan and implement long-term development strategies, finding new ways of expanding new categories
• Search for insights into consumer needs, Commercial focus, sales & margin, research and analyze data and market insights
• Identify target audience preferences and forecast consumer future trends
• Deliver customer focused proposition, including the best range, and great trade plan competitive prices.
• Setting up processes at the Buyers department, development of their operating plans, ensuring alignment of objectives
• Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Min. of 7Y experience from Buying, Product Category Management or Trading from RETAIL is a must
• Leadership & People Management, previous experience in leading a high performing team is required
• Strong analytical, data-oriented person and critical thinker with strong negotiation and communications skills
• English C1 level / Strong verbal and written communication is a must
• Collaborative and respectful team player with ability to make sound judgement, and build partnerships beyond own area of responsibility
