Job description, responsibilities and duties


OBS Finance & Strategy launched its transformation program: LIFT Let’s Innovate Finance Together. A program across 5 axis: processes, automation, data analysis, digitalization and competences. To be successful, this implies the Finance & Strategy organization to bring more value to the business and transform its way to support the business.

We set up the department Finance Transformation & Innovation, which pools together all the Finance Business experts and Solution experts, who will work on the various initiatives driven by OBS transformation. These experts ensure the consistency in terms of quality and relevance of the processes and technical solutions for our Finance and Business users. They analyze and prioritize the needs of our internal customers (Controlling, Accounting, …), and ensure the evolutions to latest tools and regulatory standards.

• As Business expert, you guarantee the consistency and compliance of OBS management model, the analyses of OBS financial performance.
• You design and own the processes; you measure and improve the performance of the processes across all OBS entities.
• You analyze, design, and deploy the relevant processes and analyses on specific business components. You ensure the end-to-end consistency from transactional (operational and Finance) to decisional applications.
• You help controllers to define their use cases and you develop the specifications required for applications and tools.
• You prioritize the use cases based on the value, the benefits for the Business.
• You communicate and train the Finance community on the processes, and the tools together with the Solution experts.
• With the Solution experts and Group experts, you explore and test new processes, practices, and technics.

You will focus on the area of Capex and Resale of equipment / services across OBS:
• Your contacts are: controlling, accounting, Tax, BU, Sales, Operations, in particular the supply chain, and OBS IT.
• Together with the OBS IFRS expert (IFRS 15 / IFRS 16) and the OBS Finance referential owner, you define the reporting, referential principles: for fixed assets, Capex lease, equipment resale, services and licenses.
• You design the relevant processes and predictive models from product definition till recognition into the P&L and the Fixed Asset register.
• You develop the specifications with Solution experts to adapt the ERP, Horizon/Insight and modeling applications like One-Truth Costing.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• At least 5 years of successful experience in central and/or operational controlling.
• Good overall understanding of Finance (controlling, accounting, consolidation) and its tools.
• Proficient in MS Office, knowledge of Group tools like Horizon, Fusion is a plus.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
• High level of autonomy and persuasion skills.
• Keen on working in project mode and implementing a change.
• Strong collaboration skills to collect and understand customer needs.
• Ability to analyze the needs, prepare a design note and understand their impacts on the referentials.
• Strong capabilities to structure, organize, you are rigorous.
