  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: 1 400 EUR/month

  • Contract type: full-time

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Implementation of 2 international projects focused on social economy and un/employment of youth/disadvantaged groups. Some international travel may be required for this position.
Main tasks:
• Implementation of all activities based on approved project plan/schedule
• Preparation of regular narrative and financial reports (in Slovak and English)
to donors and/or stakeholders
• Organization of project events, activities, meetings, conferences, seminars
• Budget tracking, financial reports
• Write updates, information, articles on projects on EPIC web
side and social media in Slovak and English
• Liaison with the relevant partners in the field of employment
policy and social economy in Slovakia and abroad

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Individuals with previous experience in the NGO sector and project managment will be highly consider

Personality requirements and skills

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:
- Previous experience working in or managing EU projects is a must
- IT skills: Excel, Word, Microsoft, Power point
- Slovak native speaker and English proficiency B2
- Proven interest in issues related to public policy,
social inclusion, social economy and employment
- Excellent written communication skills, with
analytical capacity and ability to synthesize a
variety of information for the preparation of
quality project documents/reports
- Flexible, creative, well organized, promoting “can-
do approach”, with excellent interpersonal skills
and willingness to share and learn and resistant to

EPIC is an international charitable non-profit organisation headquartered in Brisbane Australia. EPIC currently delivers programs in Australia, Slovakia, New Zealand, Scotland and the Czech Republic that assist the most disadvantaged in the community. EPIC utilises its 26+ years of experience in program development, delivery and evaluation to provide quality solutions where ever possible in its efforts to serve the community. In 2012 EPIC opened its first non-profit subsidiary in Europe that is based in Bratislava. The decision came in response to the experience which EPIC had with successfully working with a number of organisations in Slovakia since 2007.
EPIC in Slovakia aims to
•Influence public policies on employment and social inclusion of marginalised groups;
•Initiate and assist in preparation and implementation of programmes aimed at increasing employment on local level;
•Raise awareness of employment of people with various disabilities.

EPIC has five programme lines to implement its aims related to the increase of employment
and employability of people who are marginalised on an open labour market:
•Support to employment of people with disabilities;
•Support to municipal social enterprises;
•Support to employment of young people;
•Support to international labour mobility;
•Support to public policies.
