You will execute transportation operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution. You will be responsible for activities such as transport planning (load planning, route planning), track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims management, invoice management, compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management), tenders support, and third-party performance management.

How you will contribute

You will:
  • Lead transportation related operational activities such as transport planning (load and route planning), track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims, freight billing and pay, pallet management, tender support, third-party performance management, etc.
  • Monitor, verify, update, analyze and report on our company’s transportation KPIs and introduce corrective actions to continuously improve our transportation operations
  • Coordinate logistics service providers (LSPs) to ensure punctual, timely and in-full deliveries, in accordance to our standard operating procedures
  • Participate and provide input into regular service provider performance reviews
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on shortages, delays, quality issues, and other losses while permanently analyzing the root causes of recurring problems
  • Participate in project-related and ad hoc tasks in particular in connection with (CI) projects and tenders and capacity management

  • Sound analytical and presentation skills to detail and substantiate process deviations and identified opportunities
  • A high degree of conceptual thinking to grasp the larger logistics picture and find solutions out of the box
  • Being able to communicate effectively and considerately toward internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Comprehensive understanding of business principles in combination with a high degree of initiative
  • Knowledge of third-party logistics or logistics service provider operations
  • Understanding of the cost and loss drivers connected to transportation and logistics processes

1. Position Purpose Statement
A brief but complete statement describing why the position exists. Also describe the environment in which the job exists and the size of the operation (in terms of monetary measures, numbers of staff etc) that the position manages or supports. The job holder supports the management of the European Load Control Centre by being primarily responsible and accountable for the execution of international inbound transportation, through:
a) Providing a high level of customer service as the lead co-ordination point between all stake holders affected by Mondelez International Transportation.
b) Ensuring the most cost effective and environmental solution for each and every transport is provided through load, vehicle, and route optimization.
c) Efficient and accurate processing of customer demands for transportation via the I-NET (Alpega) Transport Management System (TMS).
d) Understanding and being the key point of information and data relating to International Transportation to support both the Customer and LCC to deliver productivity and process improvements.
e) The scope might be extended in order to meet the changing strategy and expansion of the Load Control Centre.

2. Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Key statements which describe the major accountabilities or responsibilities and the expected end result.

2.1. Daily Responsibilities:
• Uploading customer transport requests into the I-Net systems ensuring accuracy
• Efficient use of INET TMS. & Ensuring that data is complete and updated on a timely basis
• Optimising inbound transportation, assigning optimised shipments to transportation service providers
• Monitoring and tracking the execution of shipments from request through to delivery
• Managing and Resolving Transportation related issues between Customer (Primary – Stakeholder) & Carrier (Primary – Stakeholder) & Plant o Warehouse
• Claims and Penalty Management – Control and application in line with agreed procedures
• Provide support to the Cluster team
• Training and sharing of knowledge to new or less experienced members of the team
• Support for covering absence due to holiday or sickness to ensure cluster team is at all times fully effective

2.2. Provide Great Customer Service by:
• Acting as a business link in the daily operation with customers and all other stakeholders (Replenishment, Warehouses, Logistics Operations, Loading Locations and Carriers) via proactive and fast communication
• Being the central point of all data and knowledge relating to the markets and carriers under their direct control.
• Provide detailed explanations and analysis of results achieved for the monthly KPI reporting and actively identify improvement actions and projects
• Proactively tracking performance, identifying, and implementing opportunities to improve KPI’s performance, processes and deliver incremental productivity savings.

2.3. Growth and Implementation
• Supporting projects within Logistics Operations and the Load Control Centre
• Implementing new transportation lanes and/or service providers and ensuring smooth start-up of operational changes
• Support of projects within the LCC in line with current direction and strategy
