Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job Purpose

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales and account activities in the assigned market. Create sales and marketing plans, perform direct sales engagement and provide internal leadership towards account management teams to optimize profitability and growth in line with the company’s vision. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Execute business plans and sales strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals

  • Review and adjust sales action plans regularly to ensure validity and effectiveness

  • Conduct market research and intelligence for potential sales leads and prospects

  • Identify business trends, forecast and prepare annual sales budget and marketing plan to penetrate new markets and acquire new customers

  • Establish close relationships with both existing and potential customers

  • Perform regular periodic study for existing projects to improve margins and viability for potential new projects

  • Coordinate between internal stakeholders and customers to prepare proposals and customized presentations in response to RFP & RFQ

  • Generate projects pipeline and track for conversion/closure

  • Conduct regular reviews with internal stakeholders to provide innovative solutions

  • Adhere to company policy and procedures and business ethics codes


  • Good understanding of existing and potential customers pain points and able to personally articulate or mobilize internal resources to design suitable solutions

  • Good leader in forming cross-function teams to support projects

  • Strategic mindset, customer-oriented

  • Good business acumen and of good character

  • Good negotiator and ability to convert opportunities

Job Specification

  • Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business or other relevant disciplines

  • Minimum 10 years in Supply Chain Value Add services in program management and/or business development

  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical, numerically oriented

  • Culturally sensitivity

  • Frequent travel and at short notice
