Job description, responsibilities and duties

The successful candidate would manage our collections operations on the German marketplace (DE) reporting to AR manager, while cooperating with a broad management team across the globe.

Main responsibilities would include:
* Manage retail receivables and deliver on collection goals.
* Be a point of contact for escalation for vendors, retail business and finance, accounting, business partnering, cash & credit applications teams. * Support escalations and be an escalation point in resolving complex issues with internal as well as external partners.
* Track progress of the teams’ collection activities.
* Conduct regular performance and development reviews with analysts of the team, ensure team is executing in line with the policies and procedures.

People Managment:
* Lead a team of 10+ financial analysts, drive hiring, performance reviews and employee development.
* Managing group workload and establishing priorities.
* Managing monthly / annual performance targets and evaluate performance against targets.

Project Managment:
* Enable, propose and implement process improvements within the scope of the team. Drive complex customer/vendor issue resolution and proactively head off negative service trends
* Develop, analyze and improve new strategies and procedures

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Finance, Accounting or related field

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

MUST HAVE:
* Fluent in English and German
* Proven track record of managing people (10+)
* Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
* Experience with dealing in international markets
* Proficiency using Excel
* time managment, independence, detailed oriented
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

NICE TO HAVE:
* SQL knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships both inside and outside the organization
* Self-organized and motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to achieve objectives
