Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Manage local IT systems, software and hardware, ensuring they remain operating optimally and securely.
- Provide both local and remote support to the end users with minimal supervision – able to troubleshoot effectively and using your own initiative.
- Maintain a knowledgebase of known solutions.
- Manages local network and ensures its effective and secure connection with the entire company network.
- Provides consultations and training sessions on the software and technical security for the employees and newcomers.
- Performs tasks connected with physical and logical security of IT systems and remediates any issues found.
- Assist with ongoing local, regional, or global projects.
- Create and maintain up to date documentation of IT systems.
- Perform tasks regarding the local law with regards to all IT systems, physical and virtual.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary without school-leaving examination
Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

Microsoft Windows - Advanced
Windows server administration - Advanced
Microsoft Word - Advanced
Microsoft Excel - Advanced
Microsoft Outlook - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

- Proven/recent experience working in a busy IT team, ideally in a multi-site corporate environment.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong pro customer orientation and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Solid experience administering Windows Server Environment and Active Directory.
- Proven/recent experience managing Windows Desktops and Servers.
- Good understanding of network environments (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
- Ability to develop clear and concise documentation.
- Experience using PowerShell to automate processes and/or repetitive tasks is desirable.
- Mac and Linux operating system experience desirable.
