Job description, responsibilities and duties

Define a vision for the sales engineering roles across the org; building job descriptions & how the role interacts with the other sales functions
Peer with the other sales transformation leaders to develop the go-to-market strategies and organization requirements across the market segments.
Leverage your experience in driving career pathing, SE specializations, and certifications to differentiate and scale Lenovo within the industry.
Partner with recruiting and HR to ensure that Lenovo attracts, recruits and retains the best technical sales talent in the market
Effectively conduct key stakeholders’ briefings across the geos to gain support and drive the adoption of the new roles
Influence and advise upper management on critical and strategic decisions or business issues.
Partner across multiple technology leaders to help Lenovo continue our tradition of an outstanding customer experience

Information about the selection process

As Lenovo builds a more solution-oriented sales organisation, the role of the sales engineer or technical sales specialist becomes even more central to our success. This position will be responsible for the transformation initiative to redesign the sales engineering function across the geos, building a best-in-class organisation. As we continue to grow and expand our hardware, services and software portfolio, this role will help drive and execute change in how we sell to and manage our customers. Strong technical acumen in multiple technologies is a must, as well as prior extensive experience leading and growing SE teams.

Personality requirements and skills

Minimum of 12 years of experience, 5+ years of which must be in a technical position.
Strong business acumen
Strong technical skills including the ability to develop proof of concepts
Must have the ability to take ownership of a problem and drive it to a successful conclusion personally and in collaboration with other functions.
Proven track record of delivering solutions in a matrix management structure.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be highly driven, self-motivated with a proven track record delivering results.
Must be detail orientated and have a willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done
Base gross monthly salary from minimum 5,000 EUR and above, depending on experience + variable part 14% of your annual earnings
