Job description, responsibilities and duties

IAL/BPL writer is responsible to maintain Internal Announcement Letters and Business Partner Letters. These documents contain scope of product announcement and important details for internal teams who use this as a trusted source and trigger for other actions.

IAL/BPL writer communicates with all process stakeholders to ensure smooth product announcement with focus on reduction of any ODT and GEO miscommunication about the planner product releases. This role also includes creation of linkages between products and their associated projects in internal systems, adjustment of auto-generated reports for specific requirements and monitoring of overall readiness of particular projects to ensure synchronization between data and internal documents.

IAL/BPL writer is part of WW Product Enablement department and closely cooperate with other team mates on data quality and configurator readiness process.

IAL/BPL writer (detailed description):

- Support Lenovo ISG Marketing, Development, Finance and Service in the process of announcing and withdrawing ISG server products.
- Receive notification to do a product announce from project manager
- Contact involved personnel to assist to compile necessary information to write Announcement and Business Partner Letters
- Send copy of compiled IAL to personnel who edit structure and personnel who review content (marketing, development, service, finance…)
- Input any updates required and resubmit for content review
- When content is accurate, move to get executive approval to announce on specified date
- Review announcement letter for accuracy and approve
- Announce cycle occurs in irregular periods
