Job description, responsibilities and duties

We´re looking for a skilled professional who wants to develop own career and gain more experience within two markets.

The role of Solution Engineer is to support various Country Sales and Operations teams (SK&CZ) in retaining, growing and developing the business through the execution of the detailed engineering and costings that underpin the logistics solution design activity.

Main responsibilities:
• data definition, collection, specification of requirements and presentation,
• development of logistics concepts and technical solutions for handling, storage, transportation and calculation of resource requirements and structures,
• application of unit costs and charging mechanisms to create an appropriate cost template to reflect the requirements of the Customer,
• liaison with other departments who are stakeholders or will provide input to the project,
• sense checking of the solution and costs,
• ensure the quality and timeliness of the solution,
• interaction with the Customer at a senior level,
• handover to CTI (implementation) when successful,
• providing solution part of the tender response and help BD to present concept to potential clients,
• providing technical support and guidance specifically relating to the particular vertical at key stages of a proposal.

Personality requirements and skills

• practical experience in data analysis in logistics min. 5 years,
• ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts on internal and external level,
• creativity – questions traditional ways of doing things and encourages change,
• English language - spoken and written, German is an advantage, Slovak language is a must
• ability to coordinate more projects at once,
• taking a strategic view of logistics solutions,
• working with limited supervision,
• ability to use own initiative and make decisions,
• willing to travel abroad.
