Job description, responsibilities and duties

OPPORTUNITY

The MPM (Manufacturing Programme Management) department has responsibility for leading & co-ordinating all business functions with the objective of achieving flawless product launches, with achievement of time, cost and quality targets, MPM provide the Single Point of Contact for Manufacturing. This requires interaction & co-ordination of Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Suppliers and the Commercial activities.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the E2E Manufacturing Programme environment and Agile way of working. The Manufacturing Programme Management function hold a unique position at the heart of manufacturing delivery - from initial feasibility through to detail launch planning and delivery and into volume production. This role will bring you into contact with an extensive number of areas in the business and provide you with an opportunity to develop and utilise your transferrable project management skills in both the planning and delivery of our new products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery:

Support delivery of Programme against overall timing plan (VPF) from to
Support the planning and delivery of manufacturing plans for delivery prototype, pre-production build phases and J1
Assist in the preparation of accurate and objective technical status reports in support of programme/launch management meetings and senior programme gateway reviews (MPRR, NMLR, MSC, Pre Prod and Prod Committee)
Support use of project management tools to support a smooth project delivery (Agile methodologies, P6)

Quality:

Identify and engage in continuous improvement & standardisation activities within the business improvement team
Support the planning and coordination of quality focus area activities
Support and coordinate structured problem solving across cross functional teams in preventing and resolving launch issues
Assist functional areas within MFG to drive quality products & processes with robust input into launch quality deliverables, high hurts process, PFMEAs etc

Cost:

Support cost target development & programme cost studies within MFG
Support tracking of manufacturing financial input in terms of Tooling, Facilities, Launch and OPEX costs.
Assist development of Manufacturing responses to Programme PDLs and Change Management requests.
Support the development and maintenance of the manufacturing programme budgets including implementation and management of SAP WBS structure.

People:

Demonstrate exemplary Customer First Principles to create a positive working atmosphere
Ability to represent the ‘voice of manufacturing’ in cross functional reviews
Lead cross functional reviews to address programme issues using issue management tools (AIM2, JIRA)
Support the improvement of employee engagement & satisfaction (PULSE) within the team

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University student
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - Skillful

Personality requirements and skills

Essential:

Relevant previous experience of Launch / Project management / Quality / Manufacturing.
Experience of data management, visualisation, analysis and relevant tools
Applicants must be computer literate and have knowledge of relevant business systems (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc).
Can manage and resolve a wide range of complex problems using problem solving tools.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure when necessary to deliver key objectives.
Candidates must demonstrate drive, initiative and strong analytical skills, accuracy in reports.
English speaking and a good understanding of written and spoken English.
Can form strong working relationships with internal and external parties.

Desirable:

Knowledge of the systems AIMS, WERS,I-create, PACN
Knowladge about Agile way of working
Experience of Launch Quality Operating Systems preferred.
