Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Purpose of the Job:

The JLR Nitra site consists of over 300,000m2 of buildings housing the Paint, BIW and Trim and Final shops.

The Environment & Soft Services team has responsibility for delivering site cleaning and waste services, plant environmental compliance (ISO 14001) responsibility, environmental monitoring service, catering for up to 4,000 staff, receptionist services, workwear service, bus and taxi transportation service, dormitories service and smaller services such as lockers, vending service and drinking water regime. All of these services are outsourced to 3rd party suppliers. The role shall be to coordinate the activities and be the link between the supply chain, the JLR FM team and our internal stakeholders.


- Lead weekly meetings with the suppliers to receive reports and discuss issues arising.
- Report issues to the Site Environmental, Soft Services and Energy Manager
- Work closely with and nurture suppliers to develop a solid understanding of JLR Business Excellence methods.
- Interface with the JLR production leads to ensure best in class service provision.

Main Activities

Will be the Plant focal point for Soft Services delivery (catering, bus/taxi transportation, workwear, lockers/furniture, vending service, drinking water service). Work scope can be changed according to business priorities.

Responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure contribution to plant availability is delivered through world class asset care processes.

Is a role model for Health and Safety behaviours and driving all teams towards Reimagine Strategy and Creator’s Code principles and SQDCPE priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Environment).

Much time will be spent with the FM providers’ management teams to ensure contract delivery and performance.

Carry out internal soft services audits to maintain the highest standards.

Receive and analyse reports from the FM contractors.

This is not exhaustive and the successful candidate will need a flexible attitude to be able to support the FM team as necessary.


Ensures the compliance of self and others to internal and external policies, regulations, statutory legislative requirements relevant to local and European standards including but not limited to HACCP (Food Hygiene), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO TS 16949 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Safety).

Ensures that all systems and activities are compliant at all times with the relevant standards.

Develop, implementation and adherence of the teams both internal and external to Health and Safety procedures.

Monitor KPIs to ensure contracts compliance.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

Dutch - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills


- Developing leadership skills in a demanding, fast paced environment – min 2 year
- At least 2 years’ experience in a soft facilities environment
- Understands catering standards and local legislation relating to the service
- Excellent communicator, decision maker and resilient.
- Ability to manage teams of external contractors.
- Competent user of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint (Windows 10)
- Proactive behaviour, leading by example, strong focus on priorities, dynamic personality, problem solving skills, ability to adapt to constant changes
- Driving permit class B
- English language min B1 level


- Automotive experience or otherwise suitable relevant manufacturing experience (eg Tier 1 supplier)
- A recognised qualification in Facilities Management or leading up to it.
- Proven experience and understanding of statutory Slovak and European legislation relating to catering, bus transportation,
- Experience in handling of 3rd party contracts/budgets
- SAP skills (Purchasing module)
