Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Purpose of the Job: Part of the MP&L / Data integrity team responsible for the engineering change process on the MP&L side – starting by approving of concern from MP&L point of view, if released – responsible for implementation of timing for the engineering changes. Cross -functional alignment of the right dating of the engineering changes ( model year changes or running changes), ensuring accuracy of relevant SAP data (e.g. timing of the changes ) match to the agreed implementation plan.

- Support all running change and Model year change for a specified car line and all associated processes and meetings such as Change Management meeting, - Manage the change meeting, Change implementation meeting,
- Communicating part number changes and associated timings to the rest of the business
- Single point of contact for engineering change issues
- Support Run out of model year programmes and status reporting
- Co-ordinate all part number change activity for pre-production builds
- Dating and managing of the engineering changes (running changes & model year changes) in SAP environment ensuring right timing of changes is in place for the prebuild production phases (prototypes) and series production ( running changes)
- Contribute to continual improvement within the department
- Ensuring timing issues (for example obsolescence) are covered before concern release
- Approving or Rejecting concerns within WERS on behalf of MP&L against agreed MP&L checklist

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Experience in engineering change management process
- background in MP&L
- Understanding of Change Control and Inventory Processes
- Possession of good IT skills along with knowledge of MRP system (SAP)
- Communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good working relationships
- Manage priorities, identify issues & solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference & achieve results.
- Demonstrate drive with a customer focused approach & good organisational skills & have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus.
- Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility.
- High level of self-motivation & determination & the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
