Job description, responsibilities and duties

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of PRODUCTION MANAGER.The role is responsible for managing all aspects in Trim and Final Operation, driving all scorecard metrics including SQDCPE. Part of role training will be in parent company in UK.

Production manager organises and manages production area & team according to production plan and ensure that the objectives of quantity, quality, cost, safety, efficiency are achieved.
As a key member of the Trim & Final operation first line management, the Production Manager has responsibility for 3 shifts of the Trim & Final operations team.
This role reports directly to the Trim & Final Technology Manager/Director

- Leading, managing and developing your team to achieve deployed targets
- Drive safety behavior including audits, promote Hazard / Potential Near Miss Point follow up with your team
- Support Internal quality (FTT & WCPA) metrics are continually improved and robust action plans are in place
- External Quality is reviewed across markets and actions identified to meet and exceed targets
- Assure that the objectives of safety, ergonomics, quality, cost and efficiency are achieved and improved
- Drive efficiencies in process to deliver Year on Year productivity and reduce Hours per Car
- Continuous process improvements using the Integrated Production System and Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, and 5S
- Cooperation on Engineering changes, Line trials, Process audits, PCPA Audits, TPM plans
- Developing strategies with contractors and ensure their objectives are fully aligned and support the plant request
- Supporting the introduction of new products & processes into the existing manufacturing area with correct documentations and delivered on time and of the highest quality to meet customer demands
- Collate and present full Production status and Senior Management reviews
- Drive Policy deployment at all levels, developing team performance, Recruitment leading
- Ensure Production leaders run Continuous Improvement Work Group meeting to drive problems to closure
- Strong relationship with CME, MAI, Body in White, Paintship, MP&L, Plant Quality, HR
- Responsible to make manpower planning and line balancing for the station & workshop
- Support the processes & production of SVO vehicle
- Trim & Final Budget planning and expenses tracking, Cost saving improvements
- Adherence of Jaguar Land Rover standards and procedures

Base salary from 2183 per month, depending on your experience and skills, yearly bonus 0-15% (paid yearly)

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Completion of college diploma or university degree in: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or similar; or equivalent college/university in a technical field
- Relevant previous experience of Production Management including consistent delivery of productivity targets in Manufacturing
- Thorough understanding of Engineering/Manufacturing Processes, Tools and Techniques
- Demonstrable and experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving.
- Proven ability to work within tight deadlines & be able to manage and priorities multiple activities simultaneously
- Experience and working knowledge of Health and Safety Audits and ergonomics including risk assessments.

- An individual who is results driven, demonstrates, tenacity, drive and perseverance, with the ability to deliver in a complex, highly demanding environment.
