Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced automotive developer to work in the area of thermal management components in the automotive industry. Join us and help us form the future of the automotive industry.

Your tasks:
- Participation and elaborations in product development
- Collaboration in defining and monitoring compliance with the specified technical and economic development goals
- Evaluation of the customer's technical requirements (specifications, SOW, etc.)
- Together with the customer clarify all topics that are necessary for the component function and the technical quotation
- Check the consideration of legal requirements
- Coordination of internal requirements for the interface of the mechatronic system → Interface Mechanics → Mechatronics-Electronics
- Work in the project team with the technical manufacturability analysis in the quotation phase and with project changes
- Definition of LIN slave configuration
- Programming of controls using Vector CANoe Option LIN → CAPL programs
- Supports the review and release of 3D models and drawings, as well as design reviews
- Mainly responsible for the content of the D-FMEA's for its product group
- Coordination of service life tests with end customers, suppliers, and internal test departments
- Responsibility, assurance and participation in the individual project phases according to PEP
- Maintain and provide documentation of the current state of the specific solutions of the product
- At each end of the project, the lessons learned list is maintained and an experience report is created

Automotive industry, manufacture of transport equipment

The client on whose behalf the position is filled is an international automotive company based in Germany, developing products related to thermal management. These products help to specifically control and regulate water circuit temperatures at central points. As a result, for example, the warm-up phase can be significantly reduced, thus saving fuel and reducing CO 2 emissions.

- Knowledge of LIN bus (ISO standard 17987-1, Road vehicles - Local interconnect network (LIN) - Part 1–8)
- Experience with the LIN tools from Vector, CANoe-LIN option
- Experience with the Tool Labview (SW) and National-Instruments (HW) (with LIN control)
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with or knowledge of data acquisition systems in the vehicle, improvement of data quality and analysis of complex data sets
- Professional experience in electronics development (HW / SW), preferably in the automotive industry
- Basic understanding: A-Spice, functional safety ISO 26262
- Strong ability to work in a team
- German and English - spoken and written
