Job description, responsibilities and duties

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing operations of the office in Vienna and for business development in the region of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and CEE. Securing effective collaboration with the HQ and delivery companies will belong to your main responsibilities as well.

In this position, you will:
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new creative ways of reaching existing markets
- Generate acquisition leads, seek out the appropriate contact in an organization, contact prospective customers, organize face-to-face meetings
- Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these, draw up client contracts
- Increase sales - help to plan sales campaigns, create a sales pipeline
- Conduct sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the Board of Directors
- Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
- Develop the business sales and marketing strategy.
- Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate, keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world
- Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
- Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
- Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
- Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate
- Seek ways of improving the way the business operates

- Remuneration for this position is at 56.000 Eur p.a., where bonus structure and appropriate benefits are parts of the package.
- Actual remuneration can be higher and will depend on the level of experience, fulfilling set KPI’s, etc.

English - Advanced (C1) or German - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

- Proven success & at least 5 years of experience in business development (preferably in real estate development, architecture & design / interior design)
- Exceptionally good market knowledge, pipeline to potential clients in both B2B and B2C segments
- Fluent in both English & German, additional knowledge of Eastern-European languages is a plus (Serbian/Croatian, Czech/Slovak, etc.)
- Ambitious, success-driven, outgoing personality
