Purpose of the role

The purpose of the Lead of NFR and Compliance is to ensure that the way we operate on a day-to-day basis allows us to keep this promise to our clients and to remain a responsible and accountable global financial institution. The Lead of NFR & Compliance has the additional purpose of helping others in his or her area of expertise to succeed and to empower them to ensure the Bank remains safe and secure.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a servant leader who will act as independent expert in the area of 2nd Line risk management and at the same time will provide leadership and direction towards the own team in relation to the organization´s mission, vision and values, bearing in mind the risk element. As a leader of multi-disciplinary team you will be able to combine multiple angles to guide the organization in risk environment.
As a 2nd Line of defense risk manager, you posses good communication skills, you can influence others – members of own team and various stakeholders within own and functional organization, you can think critically and use data while collaborating with others. You are able to direct decisions and sustain change implemented in rapid pace. She or he has ability to apply risk considerations to new processes, areas, technologies, and innovations.

What will do as an expert?
In your role you will challenge, advise, and support the identification, analysis and mitigation of non -financial risks identified by 1st Line of Defense/business, raising the non-financial risk awareness throughout our organization and check that the 1st Line of Defense/business is complying with the risk appetite and escalate where necessary.
You will be mainly responsible for:
2nd Line of Defense Risk management
Challenge risk management execution and control processes and take corrective actions, if necessary.
Challenge and advise the Risk and Control Self-Assessment results of the business
Oversee and objectively challenge any actions that may give rise to operational risk and escalate if necessary. Align multi disciplinary views of Operational, Information and Compliance risk managers in your team.
Data collection , analysis and risk reporting
Conduct research using (risk) data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Ensure regular reporting to entity non financial risk committee related to issues, events and risk exposure
Information and Business advice
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of internal policies and minimum standards, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.
Act as champion and point of contact in your area of expertise in highly specialized risk areas of fraud, sourcing, employment practice, personal and physical security and others.
Maintaining internal relationship management
Build effective working relationships with your peers and colleagues and providing high-quality professional service to support in delivering business strategy and plans while earning trust of your key stakeholders.
Development of policies and procedures
Contribute to the drafting and reviewing of internal procedure documents within your area of expertise to ensure compliance with external and internal requirements.
Risk and issues management
Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project and run organization - escalating where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these.
