  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: 2 965 EUR/month*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your role and work environment:

The Global Risk & Control Center of Expertise (CoE) is responsible for leading the integration and the simplification of the existing non-financial risk control frameworks in close cooperation with business management and the Risk function (2nd Line).
The CoE (1st Line function) is also responsible for supporting and challenging the Centres of Excellence on Risk & Control Management across ING and its stakeholders in adapting to the Target Operating Model. You will furthermore act as a catalyst between Centres of Excellence on Control Management and its stakeholders to achieve defined control management objectives and specific goals.

You will be operating in the very heart of the ING Bank COO organisation, based in IBSS organisation in Bratislava. Global Transformation Office/ Global Process Management who will be your functional line, is based in Amsterdam.

The complexity of the assignments and the international setting requires for you to cooperate in and with the international network of ING.

In this position you will:

• Work proactively with 1LOD and 2LOD and value chain owners to ensure a sound IT internal control environment.
• Planning and performing key control testing on design and operating effectiveness of IT frameworks
• Implementing the security rules and performing regular IT risk assessment for the domain, proving advisory and raising user awareness of information security and IT risk management
• Maintenance and monitoring of complete oversight of risks and controls (including the outsourced ones) of the IT business assets, processes, or products for which they are accountable
• Identify strategic capabilities that will support and increase knowledge sharing and replication of IT internal control best practices within ING Bank globally
• Contribute to the development of control frameworks aligned with ING Bank’s Policies, Standards, and business process.

Personality requirements and skills

• 5+ years’ relevant experience in the areas of IT risk management, business controls, IT audit (preferably focused on the banking or financial services industry)
• In-depth knowledge of IT frameworks (Information security and IT infrastructure) with a good understanding of ING’s business lines, products and processes.
• Academic degree in computer and preferably in the possession of a certification in Internal Control
• Have knowledge of banking business processes, risks and associated controls.
• Have proven communication, convincing and advisory skills with the ability to work at all levels in the organization (a track record in project management is advantageous).
• You are professionally sceptic, knowledgeable and solution oriented.
• Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong work ethic combined with a structured and disciplined approach, resulting in ‘getting things done’.
• Focused on timely and top-quality deliverables
