Job description, responsibilities and duties

• creation of the deployment schedule based on the release plan or sprint plan
• management of dependencies of delivery items and deployment packages
• executing root-cause analyzes in order to set up problem-solving plans and implementing sustainable improvement measures
• Ensuring technical smoke tests to ensure that the environment is ready for technical testing on deployment days
• Alignment of all deployment activities, their dependencies and schedules with test environment management, test management and the project management
• Execution of the deployments on test and acceptance environments as well as their monitoring and error fixing
• Coordination of the test data management and derivation of technical necessities for the technical configuration of the environments
• Creation of deployment orders to external data centers and providers

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Jira - Skillful
Confluence - Skillful

Personality requirements and skills

• Several years of professional experience in IT project management with a focus on deployment, ideally in large projects in the IT and/or insurance industry
• FH or university degree, ideally computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification - if this point is below, candidates who do not have a university degree but relevant professional experience do not exclude themselves.
• Several years of experience in the entire software development process
• Basic knowledge of technologies such as Java, JEE, HTTP, SQL, Mainframe is an advantage
• Good user knowledge in the MS Office package as well as with JIRA and Confluence
• Good general knowledge of development, test and deployment tools (Urban Code Deploy and Jenkins) as well as databases (which ones?) and IT programming languages on various IT infrastructure platforms
• Strong analytical skills and structured approach
• Very good knowledge of English or German language
