Job description, responsibilities and duties

Are you ready for a new professional challenge in transfer pricing? We are looking for experienced candidates to support our client- Marelli GBS in Trnava!

The Tax – Transfer pricing Specialist reports directly to the Head of Transfer Pricing located in the UK, and closely collaborates with the Italian Plant.
Your role will be focused on advising on direct and indirect taxes within the EMEA region, with particular emphasis on transfer pricing.
You will cooperate in implementing global tax policies, strategies, and projects, managing tax risks, providing related solutions, and fulfilling the tax compliance and transfer pricing obligations resulting from the application of the local laws in those EMEA countries in which Marelli is present.

• Oversight of transfer pricing (TP) matters within the EMEA region, partnering with multiple stakeholders to provide support on TP-related issues, with the aim of minimizing our tax exposure (e.g. APA, safe harbour).
• Management and preparation of TP documentation to support intra-group transactions in compliance with local regulations, including assisting global HQ with the preparation of the Group Masterfile and CbCR.
Assessment of and implementation of appropriate TP policies for the group.
• Provision of advice on TP implications of new business initiatives, as well as on one-off transactions concerning particular goods or assets.
• Supporting tax audit procedures, replying in a timely manner, and providing support in response to tax authority requests.
• Providing support with other international tax matters that may arise as a consequence of intra-group transactions.
• Contributing to the activities of the global tax department, through the implementation of tax strategies, policies, and projects.
• Oversight and assistance with tax compliance processes, including preparation and submission of direct tax returns, as well as handling tax queries, supported by external tax advisers, where needed.
• Review of and, when required, preparation of tax provision analyses.
• Assistance in tax planning, due diligence review, cash repatriation, and advising on cross-border transactions.
• Supporting the global and local finance teams in any matters where tax assistance is required.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

BA/ MBA degree in economics graduated in business administration/ management especially accounting, tax, finance
fluent English, bilingual ability is preferred
5 to 7 years of experience in Finance department, operational and strategic involvement, international environment, transfer pricing experience
• Finished FIA Diploma, Dipl. IFRS, ACCA/CIMA, or in progress or equivalent knowledge required
• Good knowledge of Tax principles, a full understanding of a different kinds of Tax
• MS-Office, SAP & HFM experience
• Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with the team to reach team goals and business objectives
• Communication
• Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead negotiations
• Customer Satisfaction/Total Quality
• Ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency and even increase expectations
