Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced senior specialist in Customs/VAT administration and accounting who will join the team of professionals specialized in CUSTOM PROCESSES.

As a Senior Specialist for the Customs team, you will handle daily tasks related to:
• Customs agenda and related customs legislation
• INTRASTAT declaration submission
• VAT reconciliation (export) registers and export/import documents and reconciliation of bills of entry with VAT records.

Operational tasks:

• Preparing professional reports to the Senior Management
• Monitoring changes in the customs legislation and business area; gathering, analyzing and processing data and information in electronic form, checking that data and information, checking and reviewing it for correctness, sharing that information with other team members; this also applies to information acquired in professional training provided by third parties which the employee participated in at the employer’s expense
• Communicating with clients and various governmental authorities
• Providing support to other colleagues in completing various tasks related to consultancy and client services

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in Management, Business Administration or relevant is an advantage /Secondary level of education+3 years of an experience in a field is ok/
• Excellent spoken and written Slovak/Czech and English min B2 level
• at least 1-2 years of professional experience in the area of customs processes is a must (customs declarations, customs regimes, customs IT systems, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of Intrastat
• Understanding of the customs classification, origin of goods and customs valuation
• Ability to find quick and complex solutions based on the client’s needs
• Ability to perform in a rapidly changing multi-task environment
• Data-driven professional who is able to see "big picture"
