Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your key position and your effort will have a noticeable impact. We are targeting continuous delivery of new features and changes to our existing systems alike and developing well engineered tests and automation scripts are a key component of this endeavor. Success in this role will be achieved by architecting, creating and maintaining code that will power the executable specifications in a web based environment. We are looking for a candidate who loves collaboration, continuous improvement, deterministic outputs.

You help coach, guide and mentor junior and medior QA Automation Engineers. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will primarily report to Technical Lead and QA Automation Lead.

You will
● Design test plans to ensure efficiency and consistency of automated tests
● Write performant, maintainable, reliable, idiomatic Kotlin code to implement requirements in an automation framework
● Setup and maintain test environment, ensure pipeline failures are triaged promptly
● Determine the root cause of issues, resolve testing issues, and drive issues to closure
● Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Software Engineers to ensure delivery of the highest quality end product
● Practice, share and nurture the best practices in testing, testability and maintainability
● Maintain in-depth knowledge of testable products
● Help and support junior and medior colleagues
● Proactively engage in career development with continuous learning

Personality requirements and skills

● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or equivalent foreign education and experience accepted; alternatively, significant experience in the field can be assumed as proper substitute
● 5+ years of software development experience, 1+ years QA Automation experience
● Preferred (but not required) languages: Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, Golang
● Experience with testing - designing and implementing
● Manual QA experience a plus
● Knowledge of common libraries and frameworks (helpful): Spring, Selenium, Gauge, Cucumber
● Experience with Linux or MacOS, Open Source tools, frameworks, and technologies
● Experience working with databases and application servers
● Creative and strategic thinker who is eager to dive in to challenging and interesting projects and demonstrate their passion for achieving high quality results
