Job description, responsibilities and duties

We, an young agile software developing company with stable business in automotive, communications and security are looking for experienced project manager with strong career background, software development experience and a focus on customers, engineering and operational excellence. You will lead and grow an engineering team that is responsible for design, development and operations. Become a member of our global teams in Žilina.

Automotive New Telematics Unit Project
We have been developing standalone telematics solutions for vehicle connectivity, letting car drivers to enjoy newest automotive features, innovative safety navigation and entertainment services. Multiple teams work for a well-recognized world-class customer for 3 years now. They are currently starting development of new features and customization for a French-Japanese car maker group.
The telematics unit is a complex device from both HW and SW view, providing a large set of services such as voice and data connectivity, localization, e-call, m2m/IoT teleservices, car remote control, data collection, and third-party application runtime environment.
We use state-of-the-art technologies such as over-the-air update (OTA), virtualization, secure storage, trusted execution environment, automotive IoT, CAN, MQTT, Yocto, automotive Ethernet, SomeIP, embedded Linux, etc.

New Generation Medical Device Project
A long-term project, comprising software development of a new generation medical device designed for first response emergency (rescue systems and first aid). Combination of latest medical and scientific know-how with next-generation emergency medical services. We are expanding our team of developers. Beside developers and testers, the team consists of medical requirements analysts, UX/UI designers, solution and SW architects, test-automation engineers and other experts.
A technologically fascinating project that integrates the user interface with a medical platform, business logic and third-party SW components. Among other tools and platforms, we deploy here embedded C++, Linux, Qt, Yocto, BSP, Python, IoT, over-the-air update (OTA), software security, and various communication stacks (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, fibre optics).

Main responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Management - Define project scope, schedule deliverables, planning, executing, monitoring and managing project activities, milestones, budgets and resources; reporting;
• Risk Management - Analyzing potential risks and issues, managing risk mitigation actions;
• Team Management - Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; and mentoring and developing team members; Leadership;
• Managing project stakeholders - Communication with the customer, regular reporting, clarification of issues and arranging solutions; Coordination of common actions and activities; Managing project acceptance phase; Supporting in contractual and financial matters;

• Should have solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
• Experience in IT (R&D) software project management role 3+ years is necessary
• Working experience in SW development area 8+ years
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demand
• Understanding of business needs and ability to gain/maintain customer trust and satisfaction
