Accounting Manager – IT, ES, PT

Your responsibilities
Reporting to Senior Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will be in charge of ensuring full Local GAAP, IFRS as well as tax compliance for Global Blue countries across 3 jurisdictions. You will be managing 4 employees in our SSC.
The main tasks of this position are the management and coordination of finance and accounting, ensuring correct and punctual closing, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, working with other finance departments to support the general departmental goals and contributing to motivate and develop the team.

Main duties:
Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations taking into account all legal and economic requirements
Technical and personal management of a team of 4 employees
Tax compliance as well as timely and accurate Tax reporting in all relevant jurisdictions for Spain and Portugal
Contact person for all tax audits and responsible for implementation of relevant tax changes.
Statutory reporting ensuring accurate and in time reporting
Monthly Group reporting including review of balance sheet and income statement
Monthly reconciliations and controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)

What you should offer

Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent education
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience within a multinational business, preferably proved experience of local statutory accounting in Spanish or Italian or Portuguese jurisdiction
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Professional experience in a leadership role
Excellent analytical skills and process understanding
High resilience and Hands-On-Approach
