Who We Are Looking For:

A Customer Service Engineers who would be responsible for the technical implementation of our services and the associated quality assurance measures during the service period.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Responding to technical enquiries in all service aspects (incident and problem reports, technical issues ...) within the contractually agreed response times. First point of contact for customers with regard to all technical service issues during system lifecycles.
• Documentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems
• Coordinating and carrying out root cause analyses and remedies
• Assisting our customers with their technical queries about the operation, configuration and service of the serviced system.
• Designing, planning and technically executing changes and extensions to existing systems (change requests).
• Integrating systems and system components into existing system environments
• Performing system audits
• Collaborating with Product Management on designing and extending/improving products.
• Supporting Product Management with continuous product improvement based on experience gained / feedback from customers.
• Support transition of delivery project to support phase as well as building up required know how to support handed over solutions.
• Drafting/updating technical documentation on systems and their interfaces
• Performing system tests in Vienna and on customers’ premises
• Site acceptance with customers
• Coordinating with product development teams and/or development teams on error analysis and troubleshooting.

Know how & experience

• Very good English skills (written and spoken)
• Educational background in technology/IT
• Administration competence in the following areas:
- Linux Administrator Knowledge
- Linux Scripting (Bash, Perl)
- Windows Server Basics
- Windows Client Basics
- Software Deployment Systems (automatic application deployment using Ansible)
- Databases (PostgreSQL)
• VoIP (SIP, RTP) – previous experience is a must
• Wireshark
• Network (Network administration, CISCO configuration)
• Virtualising IT Systems (VMWare, ESXi)
• Network and system monitoring (Zabbix)
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications (interfaces: analog, ISDN, PCM technology) - optional
• Basic knowledge in GSM-R - optional

Qualifications (advantageous)

• VMware VCA or equivalent experience
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience in administrating critical network infrastructure mainly in relation to usage of VoIP
• Debian/Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent experience

Competence

• Accept internal and external deliveries
• Decision-making competence with regard to technical measures and procedures to remedy reported incidents and problems in the scope of the agreement
• Release new software updates for implementation in live systems.
• Define the severity level and priority of system errors and observations. Prioritize customer enquiries according to the contractual specifications and decide on necessary escalation.

Responsibility

• Successfully implementing technical measures to remedy problems reported on systems in operation.
• Ensure SLAs are enacted within the framework conditions.
• Analyse and remedy (or coordinate remedy) all technical system errors.
• Document all completed tasks in the ticket system.
• Escalate technical problems to Service Management.
• Participate in optimising operative customer systems to avoid incidences during operation.
